Assistant Organizer

Job Description

Were you that kid that organized their bedroom for fun? Would you rather go to The Container Store than Nordstrom? Does your face light up when you see a label maker? Then listen up! 

Slimm Design is currently seeking an Assistant Organizer to join our small team! We are a professional organizing company based in Belmont offering fun, approachable home organization that supports how families actually live.

This is a part-time position (at least 15 hours/week) that we hope to expand if it’s a good fit. Hours are generally between 9am-4:30pm and flexible based on your schedule.

Typical work will consist of sorting, decluttering, labeling, lifting and moving items, and setting up shelving, containers, and storage solutions. Shopping (mostly online), handling returns, dropping off donations and other client related errands will also be needed. 

If you are someone with an incredible knack for organizing, a positive and nonjudgmental attitude, a good sense of humor, and a love for helping others, we’d love to hear from you! Prior professional organizing experience is a plus but not necessary; we are more interested in your willingness to roll up your sleeves and make a meaningful impact! 

Qualifications

  • Must live within close proximity to Belmont

  • Naturally drawn to organizing and improving spaces

  • Ability to complete a variety of tasks and work in fast-paced, changing environments

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow directions

  • Comfortable engaging with clients in a friendly and compassionate manner 

  • Ability to handle occasional lifting of approx 40 lb and have the strength and energy to be on your feet all day long

  • Not overwhelmed by clutter, getting dirty, or being around clients’ pets onsite

  • Must own reliable transportation and be able to travel within 10 mile radius of Belmont

  • Must own smart phone for scheduling and coordinating with team

Compensation

  • $20-25 per hour plus performance-based bonus
